Gentle grip in an intense period

Chemotherapy can have a major impact on your body as well as your self-image. In addition to hair loss on the head, eyebrows and eyelashes can also fall out (partially). These hairs give a lot of expression to your face. When they fall out, it can be confrontational – and that is very understandable.

This blog aims to give you peace of mind, information and options so that you can choose what is best for you at the moment.

The importance of eyebrows and eyelashes

Eyebrows frame your face and help determine your appearance. Without eyebrows, your look can appear harsher or more tired. Eyelashes also play a big role in opening the eyes. Small adjustments can therefore make a big difference in how you see – and feel – yourself.

Option 1: Make-up (temporary and flexible)

    • Eyebrow pencil or powder
Ideal if you want to touch up and vary daily. Choose a soft shade that matches your skin tone.

    • Eyeliner (pencil or liquid)
A fine brown or black line along the lash line can redefine your eyes, even without lashes.

This option does require daily updating and can be exhausting at a time when your energy is limited.

Option 2: Permanent makeup (durable and soft)

For those who like some peace of mind and convenience, permanent makeup can be a valuable solution.

    • Powderbrows or microblading
Provide natural, soft brows that reframe your face.

    • Subtle eyeliner
A fine line (brown or black) along the lash line lets your eyes speak, without a “makeup look.”

Everything is done very carefully and customized, paying attention to your skin, sensitivity and comfort.

When is permanent makeup possible?

Permanent makeup can:

    • before the start of chemotherapy, or

    • from about 6 months after therapy

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my eyebrows stay beautiful?

Most of our treatments, such as Microblading and Powder Brows, stay beautifully visible for an average of 1 to 3 years.
This can vary depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.

Is the treatment painful?

We use a numbing cream to increase comfort during the treatment and minimize sensitivity. Some fall asleep during the treatment.

Can I touch up my eyebrows myself?

We recommend not touching up your eyebrows yourself to preserve the results of the treatment.
Our specialists will be happy to help you with a professional side effect.

When do I come back for a Touch Up?

We work very gently, allowing the pigment to fade gradually. You decide when to have a Touch Up performed.
